T1 Split screen Camper for renovation LHD

This camper was bought in Afghanistan in 1978 from some Germans who had overhauled it and were on their way around the world in it. But a Russian tank pulled up along side them and they paniked and decided to go home, selling the camper to my brother. It has been in a barn in Norfolk for about 30 years. It is a T1 with a small back window. I think it is in poor condition but the chassis and floor are sound. The Russian tank put a small dent in the rear L/H corner, and there are holes in the gutter where roof racks were welded on by the Germans. Little wing things above the front wheels need replacing, and rear R/H lower corner. Some work was started by a local body shop about 20 years ago, but he only got as far as welding on new outer sills before he had a heart attack. It looks awful, but I have been told by two people that have looked at it that it is basically sound. I have no idea what it is worth so I plan to advertise here, then, when interested people have seen it I am thinking of putting it on Ebay. I have been offered 4000 for it.
