I collected it from Felixstowe docks on the 19th June 1989, so I have had the car a total of 22 years. The car has only ever been driven in dry weather and garaged since coming to the UK. The car is in stunning condition with all it’s original panels and very little repair to the body. It is a completely standard car with the original 1.6 engine. The only real modifications are the Clifford alarm and sound systems.
List of works:
Sep 1994 - I had the roof replaced and it still looks brand new today.
2000/2001 - The bodywork was completely restored including sand blasting to ensure there was no chance of rust (I have pictures of this work). New shocks for better ride, wheels painted, new tyres, windscreen & rubber with original metal trim, dashboard top, bonnet liner, side trim, engine out and parts painted, most rubber seals replaced - the list goes on.
2004 - The interior was complete replaced.
I have more paperwork for the car than you ever need to see, including all the MOT’s/TAX discs and original paperwork from the USA.
The car is TAX’d and MOT’d and starts every time without fail. I will also have it serviced before selling it. The current number plate is being put on retention and the car will be supplied with a new registration, relevant to the year of the car. I will supply black and silver metal plates with the new registration.
The car is available to view at my work place near Tring, Herts and I would appreciate serious enquiries only. I am selling the car as I have bought a Porsche and don’t have the room to store two classic cars, as much as I would like to. |
